: Officers tried to arrest Barnett and used pepper spray when he resisted them. Barnett then started to swing the iguana by the tail and tried to hit officers with its head.
: When officers got Barnett down on the ground, he spat at and kicked them. Later, he broke a security window at the jail with his fists.
: Before his sentencing, Barnett was ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluation at Eastern State Hospital. The evaluation found him competent to answer to the charges.
: Johnson said the iguana was unharmed.
