Hi, forums been great to me, Ziggy seems to be adjusting well, amazes me at
their intelligence and their reactions to surroundings as compared to my only other lizard(Leopard gecko).
Suppose to be getting "Hulio"(16 inch living in 10G) Sunday. I will let you know how the two get along, hopefully
in 4-6 months they can move out of their 55G and into their Condo! Any ideas on how to keep a cage that size heated?7X4X7.
Anybody with a cage close to this size, please let me know your way so I can start collecting goods, if I start now won't be
that hard on the pocket in the end!
Ok, I live in Eastern NC and in my town, their is only one small pet store(owned by sister-in-law's father) that sells Iguanas.
Checked it out and they have about 4 living in a 40G breeder, temp and humidity good, staying on reptile bark, but only one small log,
hammock that hangs by one suction cup and UVB with plastic over the bulb, seems to be fed Romaine lettuce(pieces too big to eat), squash, and carrots. I pointed
things out to employee, but you know how they get offensive and complain, says she feeds jump start to ones that are too small when little and she does her best, etc,etc...
NO literature on how to care for them, so I was thinking that I would print copies of MK's short IG care and give this to them and ask everytime they sell an Iguana would
they give one to the customer, maybe this will help??? I talk to a lot of people that think Lettuce is the best thing for Iguana's!!!
Also, what is the closest Reptile or Iguana rescue/adoption help center for Eastern NC??
Thanks for your time once again!
