In response to someone's question on "twitching" Melissa Kaplan wrote in 1999:

"This is different from the all over one-time twitch (myclonic) that occurs
every once in a while. That affects the whole body, with one single, sharp
jolt. Very different from the tetany (twitching) due to MBD"

Melissa mentioned myclonic twitching in igs. My ig does that sometimes, but I thought something just startled her. Is this twitching serious or is it a normal thing some igs do?

Myoclonic jerks are perfectly normal, for igs as well as humans. It's the same as when your whole body jerks just as you're falling asleep. Don't
worry about it. :)

Sometimes, for no reason at all, Bubbette kinda "jumps", like she's startled or
something. Sometimes she jerks/jumps like that when I touch her and she's not
expecting it, especially in the morning. But sometimes, it seems to be for no
reason. With the D3 topic going on, I seem to remember some time ago about
reading that too much? or little? D3 could cause jerkiness. Would this be the
same thing? I've noticed it for about 6 months now. (she's about 20 months
old). Is this normal, or abnormal? I think I'm doing most things right,
husbandry-wise. Any ideas?

Don't you ever jerk like "someone's walking over your grave"? Igs do it to.
These perfectly harmless myclonic jerks scare the bejeezus out of ig keepers
but don't bother the igs at all.

xta - if all this sounds like what you are describing then I wouldn't worry about it! However, if it is JUST toes or JUST some body part rather than the whole body get back in touch about it.
