Vinegar is almost as wonderful as cheap whiskey. We used to use it in a diluts solution as a treatment for cage mites on the animal (Clorox in the cage). I doubt if it actually kills much, but it'll sure make the little buggers vacate the premisis.

luck,

: : fill a spray bottle with water and a little Clorox and spray it down outside. Repeat the treatment a couple of times, and let it soak in. after a couple of days, wash it well with the garden hose, let it dry, and you're ready to go. You can also do it with a 50/50 mix of vinegar.

: : : We cut down a bunch of BIG nice branches when trimming the oak trees out front (some type of oak). They are too big to boil or stick in the oven so what else can I do? I was thinking of coating them with a shalack(sp?) as I did a nice piece of driftwood last year. I was hoping not to have to strip the bark. What are all of your thoughts on this?
