Questions about ESU Lighting

Hello. I was just curious. I have read (and dont remember where) several articles or postings that ESU uva/uvb lighing is not beneficial or in some cases my harm reptiles. Why does this happen? Is it maybe because they dont put out enough uva/uvb? I am currently using a Zoo Med Reptisun 5.0. The pet shop I went to was out of the Iguana light 5.0. But, its a Zoo Med, so I figured it would be fine. However, my first uva/uvb light was a ESU light. What do you guys think? Thanks, Yvette
