: Hi All,
: Well X didn't get cut on schedule and was just going into surgery when he should have been coming out. Anyway, I talked to Dr. Wilson around 3:00 and he said he was coming out of the anesthesia just fine and had started moving around. He said all his organs looked to be in good condition and nothing was found wrong in that department. In fact, he said other than the loss of weight he appeared to be in great condition. Kidneys, liver, and etc. appeared normal(made me feel like I at least know a little bit about what I'm doing :-)). The unknown mass which was in the area of the opacity turned out to be a testicle, which was in good shape also. See, I've been telling ya'll what big kahunnas the boy has. LOL The opacity was located in the colon and turned out to be a spike shed or piece of plastic with mineral deposits on each end. He said it looked like a dumbbell. The smaller end was the new object seen in the better x-rays. He could give no reason why this was not passed with normal excrement but it wasn't and had evidently been there for some time. He said mucus secretions were present and covering the object. He thought this was probably causing enough irritation to be painful and create enough enzyme imbalance to produce inappetence. We are taking him off the Colchicine and Silymarin, at least temporally. He will be on post-op Baytril, and we are going to dose him with Metronidazole for a few days. Being unable to note any other abnormality, he is expecting a complete recovery to X's normal mean as hell self.
