i don't think the dust is toxic *unless* breathed in directly ... it being on your skin prob'ly didn't do any harm (you washed it off right away right?? *grin*) ... glad Myyaa was in the other room at the time!!

as far as removing it from the carpet??? put a new bag in your vacuum (for optimum suction) and VACUUM, VACUUM VACUUM!!! go slowly over the entire room a couple of times, in different directions ... when the vacuum inside the light is broken, is *really* causes the shattered glass to fly *everywhere* ... that should do it!

no reason why Myya shouldn't be safe in there, once you're done cleaning up tho ...

well, that'll keep ya busy for a while ... *yechy job*!)
