Hey all,
I've lurked here for a while, never posting mostly because I don't keep iguanas. This has still been a valuable source of information, mostly about nutrition. (I may not be feeding igs, but I do gut-load crickets!).
I've noticed mentions of PETA recently, and wanted to mention that to anyone keeping reptiles, or any other non-domesticated pets, animal rights organizations are, frankly, the "enemy".
They don't want you to be able to keep your animals, because they believe that it's inhumane to keep non-domestics in captivity, etc, etc.
Most of their efforts to target stores like Petco are not aimed at humanizing the pet trade, but at completely destroying it. Just a point that I think pet owners, especially herpetoculturists, should look into.
