I am by far an expert on Iguanas, But read alot and know from owning Spazzy, Digging in her enclosure to get out is something spazzy did when she first started developing eggs, from what I read here on the board being gravid also causes changes in their eating habits. Every Iguana is different but that could be why. As far as finding her a home It's sad that you cannot keep her, or don't want to....after owning mine for a little over two years I could never bear to part with her. Nontheless I wish you and her luck in whatever you decide.
: For about two weeks my female, almost 2 years old, has been clawing at her enclosure, and not eating properly. What do you think, experts?
: Second problem - I want to find her a good home, where she will be paid more attention to then here. She has a beautiful new enclosure, that goes with her, and she is extremely gentle and sweet. If I don't find a proper home for her, I will not give her away. The person who takes her must be a real iguana person, who will take care of her the way I do. Also should be in driving distance from me in Staten Island, NY. She deserves more attention than I have time to give her, and more freedom. My three dogs are a problem, in that respect. Thanks for your help.
