This, little bite wasn't anything like yours, not nearly as large. But I think it is a good example of what might be expected an Iguana bite. I've sort of posted an update a little farther down the page. There is still a tooth in there, I'm sure. The swelling is back up. Durn Igs! Why, oh, WHY did Big Dummy tell them he'd take of it!?!!
Oh well.
Catch ya later.
filthy
: hey filthy .... just how big *IS* the shed-ig???
: (right now i'm feeling brave + as tough as a Marine for living thru the chomp iZ took out of my arm ... heheheheh) ... ANYway ... i think any bite that hits bone + needs teeth dug out of it, qualifies as a nasty bite! *grin*
: on your wound ... is it one of those that's gaped open??? ya know, the kind that if your mom saw it she'd make you go get stitches??? (ummm, mine too ... ) it made a *huge* difference in healing when i put 'butterfly' tape on it + pulled the edges together after thoroughly *scrubbing* it out with betadine + squirting antibiotic ointment into it ... the slight infection cleared up right away (and it healed pretty nicely, if i do say so myself!) ... anyway ... mine's a neat 2.5" heart on my fore-arm (nah nah nah) ... LOL
: i didn't go to the doc, but i *did* show it to the vet (does that count???) and he also said the ig salvia is really nasty stuff to get into a wound ... so ... CLEAN OUT THOSE BITES!!!!
: oh ~ would peroxide maybe help 'bubble' the lost tooth out????
: ok, gotta stop ... think i'm sounding too much like a mom ... again ...
