you're killing me jif! lol!
i know as a fact that the pink/peach/white coloring that occurs on spinys is during the "warm-up". the bright colors help absorb the heat.
i have no clue about subspecies for hemilopha ('til you came along,i didn't even know hemilopha existed!lol!...just kidding).
i'll see what i can find during the week.
