Get the bathroom good and warm with a space heater and leave the Ig in about 1 1/2 inchs of water for at least 1/2 hour. I use a slightly lower water temp than I shower in. Reptiles also hydrate themselves through thei vents. I think Spazzy will lay a gift on you soon.

: Form my admittedly limited experience with Igs, I have come to believe that many if not most defecation problems are the result of minor dehydration. The darn things just don't seem to drink much. I spray G.G.'s food and he gets a warm soak every day. He dumps every day in the bathtub, and I don't have to clean up piles of Iguana crap all over the house.

: I suggest soaking The Spaz a couple of times a day until results are produced. Might even force a little water with a rubber ear syringe, although that's a last resort. If the condition persists, better talk to the vet.

: Hope this helps.

: ok here we go again, My spazzy has not pooped in 8 days, I have soaked her
: : in a warm bath a couple of times, not working... I read on the board some
: : Milk of magniesia I gave her about a half of teaspoon in case she was
: : constipated,(was afraid to give more than that two days ago,) nothing... she is eating, and acting fine, she is gravid
: : she has never had a poop every day and not uncommon for her to go
: : even 3-4 days without doing so but I am nervous that it is going on 8.
: : I guess my question is....Is it normal for a gravid iggy to have
: : problems pooping? I guess it would kinda make sense but I figured
: : I would ask you folks, the wealth of knowledge on this board is
: : tremendous, And I know someone out there has an answer for me technical or not =O)
: : Thanks in advance folks and I hope all your families, selves and pets are happy
: : and healthy.
: : K~
