Starting to put together some lab values (normal) for GGIs. Also a link below to lab tests (human) & what they mean, measure for the do it yerselfers ;-) A work in progress. If anyone has other NORMAL/STANDARD lab values for GGI's (your own or from a book or website) could you e-mail them to me or post them here. I sure would be interested! Here are the ones from Mader's, Messoniers, and Calif. Avian Lab (my igs lab).

Hopefully Part II of this nonsense (?) will be labs defined & what they measure, what the Vet is looking at/for when a diagnosis is made....something like

PCV=packed cell volume/hematocrit whole blood no dilution this lab measures state of hydration, anemias, blood loss

I don't know...anyway...just passin this on:
