Boogs Dad...no offense...but to help you along and score some points w/ Boog's MOM!!..a good starting point for info/care on GGIs (giant green iguanas) online are:
******************************
Jen Swoffords GGI Care Site: comprehensive & unassuming I really like her site the best!
http://www.baskingspot.com
******************************
Kevin Egan's Iguana Den: comprehensive, controversial at times ( NY'rs just think differently is all ;-) http://www.iguanaden.com
******************************
M. Kaplan's Iguana Care Site: A more indepth contribution to iguana care online the current dogma....heavy on personal opinion & some articles are outdated.
http://www.sonic.net/~melissk/ig_short.html
*******************************
A great general guide book to read up on GGIs is:
Green Iguana The Ultimate Owner's Manual by James W. Hatfield III about $30.oo major bookstores
This should keep ya busy!! lolol...oh and yep sounds like Boog is shedding....normal... unlike snakes igs shed piecemeal, in patches...mist her w/ warm water several times a day...hitting the shed spots real good, daily warm water baths are great to speed things along...do not let shed stay on any longer than two weeks...so make sure all sheds including spike/spine casings (sheds) are removed. Can't remember how old Boog is...but shedding decreases as they age...Mine are about 5y/o and shed 1-2xs a year now.
