I think it has to do with feeding habits in the wild...

It seems logical to me that iggys would rather take from your hand because in the wild they eat off of trees & shrubs at eye level or higher, so bending down to a bowl may be awkward for them.

Xta is right..if you continue to feed them this way they WILL expect it every day, many times a day!

I have learned this the hard way, too, with my spoiled Lou, although it is fun...we hu-mons have busy lives and can't always serve every dire need of our green babies to be hand-fed every second of the day! :)

: Okay the other day Miya poohed in her foodbowl, now he seems to not want to eat out of it at all!! And yes i cleaned it!LOL~ He will eat lots but only if i hand feed him. Infact he eats so much i have to sit there forever handing him food!~ Should i try moving his food bowl into his branches? maybe he is not happy with it on the floor of his cage?
