Well folks told you I would post when I got my "new" cage for spazzy. It took about 3 weeks for it to arrive, there were a few mistakes with the order, instead on 2.5' side plexi glass I got 2' and a few things I ordered were missing (one major thing was I wanted two holes in the top for lamps and only got one) A well placed phone call and a very polite person on the other end took care of the missing items and the sides. unfortunately other than putting my own hole in the top I am stuck with only the one. They are sending my 2.5' sides and a few of the other things that were missing. One thing they did neglect to tell me though was when I ordered the cage I ordered a plexiglass back because spazzy enjoys looking out the windows, the only problem with the plexi glass is it is about 1/8" thick and not at all sturdy...certainly not thick enough to add shelving too, So they suggested a wooden back, if the wooden back comes in 2 pieces like the plexiglass back did then I can have one side of the back wood for the shelving and the other for her to look out of. I also ordered 3 cord holes and 3 grommets, I got the grommets to fill the holes if I did not use them but was not thinking that they cannot put holes in plexiglass, they also negleted to tell me this. Needless to say the price of my cage currently is $769.00 due to items forgotten or out of stock. As soon as I get the cage to where I want it set up wise I will post a pic of it and her. She is happy in it but a little nervous climbing down her "hammock" onto the cypress wooden branch but she is adjusting. The neat thing about the cage is that it came with a removable vinyl flooring a big help when they do their business easy to clean. To avoid the depth perception with iguanas and glass I put some stickers at certain points to let her know that she cannot walk through it, hopefully that works. I also think with the plexi glass my issue with her loosing nails will no longer be. At anyrate I am basically happy with the cage providing they get the proper sides to me. I am probably boring the hell out of all of you but I took a big chance ordering a cage off the internet and thought if any of you were thinking about it you could learn from my experience. Would I order through cages by design again? at this point my answer would be yes. Hope you are all well and all your iggies are happy and healthy. =o)
