they're fighting ... regardless of what sex they are, most igs prefer to be alone + not have roommates ... the more dominant (alpha) of a pair or group of igs will 'pick on' and/or fight with the smaller/weaker ig(s) ... the alpha ig will also not allow the smaller ig to be in the 'good' basking spots and will eat the smaller ig's food and generally make it's life miserable ... igs can do considerable damge/harm to one another + they should really be separated ASAP, they will most likely *not* become friends ...
as far as how to tell male from female ... how old are your igs, or how big are they?? you can't tell the sex til they're about 3' nose-tail, about 1 1/2 - 2 yrs old ... the femoral pores on a males legs will be alot bigger than those of a female ... (the 'bumps' on the inside of their thighs) ... in females, these pores stay fairly small, almost invisible ... in males they are very obvious and can 'protrude' a bit, especially during mating season ...
here's a link to the Ig Den ... click on "Iguana Care" and scroll way down for pix of male/female femoral pores ...
best wishes,
