I think that they can tell the difference from winter to summer, at least Baby can tell. I would soak your IG for 1/4 - 1/2 hour depending on how he likes it. Baby doesn't like the bathtub (actually hates it). He is ok once he is in the water. At most I leave Baby in for 1/2 hour. He can get out before that if he goes poop. I usually have his water just a little warm - not hot. I usually fill the tub to a little less then his shoulder height. That way he can soak but not struggle to say on top of the water. Good luck
