Oops, one more question...big cage, little ig?

I'd like to build a cage before I get my iguana and have that cage big enough to last his whole life. But would such a large cage be inappropriate for a young iguana (like when I first get him)? Should I build the cage with low shelves and lighting and adjust it as he gets bigger... or just use a different, smaller house altogether, till he grows up a bit? Thanks!
