Although this lizard doesn't fall into the iguana species, here's what I have on it. A sub-family of the Tropiduridae, their name is "curly-tailed" lizard, this is derived from their tail position when they are resting. The tail curves upward almost into a complete circle. Ranges in size of sub-species are from 6" to 10"plus. There are 2 to 3 members of this family now living in southern Florida.
2 types that are common in the pet trade are:
L.s.schreibersii
L. personatus scalaris
These two sub-species are one of the most colorful from the family.
This species feeds on insects and vegetation. It likes a dry climate and sand substrate and should have rocks to climb.
That's about all the info I have on them.
Hope it helps some.
