The real sad part is that this type of care and attitude is in pet store everywhere. Igs like the 10 cent goldfish are disposable. I have no idea why a lot of pet stores still havent' caught on that any animal in their store in bad condition reflexs on their entire store. It amazes me that most continue to be blind to that fact.

I don't think anyone here at this forum is surprised at the treatment you received by the stores management or the fact that they were not going to pay your vet bill. I would, however, have fallen right out of my computer chair if you been treated with concern and respect. If you had actually received any money back, even the purchase price of your animal I think I would have had a heart attack.
