In Reply to: Which is better, wire cage or enclosed cage??? posted by IG27 on January 07, 2000 at 21:40:52:
:I am currently useing a wire cage of sorts..... I find that my Spazzy
more than once during the hyper time of the year has slid down the wire cage and torn off
a couple of toes nails... I do not know if anyone else has this
problem but I decided to buy a plexiglass cage
so that this no longer happens. In the past two years she has done it to
about 4 nails I mean off completely. They do grow back but it is to pain ful
for me to see this happen and it has got to hurt her. Just thought I would let ya know.
good luck in what ever you decide
Hi,
: I'm trying to decide whether to build a wood frame with wire or enclose it all
: except the top. Is it better for them to have open ventilation or should I enclose it
: to control the heat better? It will be inside, 6ft tall by 5 by 5!
: The room it stays in the temp ranges from 75-80! All the time. The lowest it's been is 72.
: Just trying to decide which will be better for my small iguana. I'm building a cage to last a lifetime.
: My post below explains in detail my intentions, please help me build the Dream Cage.
: Will large tree branches work as ramps? or do I need to build some? Need many ideas on creating shelves and how many to have!!!
: I know I have a lot of questions, just want it done right!
: Thanks for all your knowledge!!!!
