I have a female and the past couple weeks she has been living up to her name...
not eating extremely hyper, drinking alot of water,
she is gravid this I know, but the 2 years I have had her I am starting
to learn that this is "normal" behavior for this time of year.
don't know if this helps but wanted you to know your ig is not the only one
hyper/anti social etc.

: I wanted to ask about Sneakers behavior lately. He/she (only Sneakers know for sure) has only been eating about 1/2 or less of what he? normally does. Stopped pooping everyday, now about every other day and of course there is not that much. Sneakers still is very active, in fact the last 2 nights has gotten more and more active. Tonight he kept running/walking all over the livingroom. Up, down, on the floor, behind the couch, up the cat tree, on the window sill, back to the couch, and then start the process over again. Normally explores but finds a spot and relaxes. His tail and back legs and nice and thick, just his tummy doesn't look as plump as it normally does.

: The not eating as much started about 2 weeks ago. Nothing in his routine or setup has changed. Also the spikes that I thought were turning orange are not changing color but becoming brittle. This is just the tip of 4 or 5 of the longest spikes on the back of his neck. All the rest seem OK. Sneakers gets misted and has a soak in the tub daily. He doesn't seem to rub or go under anything to injure the spikes.

: I have been reading all the posts about females that are gravid and trying to find somewhere to lay eggs. I know, I know, just when I thought that Sneakers was a boy. Is this behavior (not eating and crazy) just in females or do males wack out like this also. It is not agressive behavior, just skittish and nuts.

: Joan (worried mom with nutso ig)
