: I would suggest looking at getting a hand-held shredder. They don't cost much...I think under $5.00. Warning: when using this device watch out for your finger tips.....they can shred too!!! : We have one that has a handle device that you stick the veggie on it before starting. I'm not quite up to those guys on TV....but I'm working on it!! lol : We use ours for the following: : Carrots : Squash ( some not all) : Parnips : Sweet potatoes : we also use a hand chopper too, it works great for chopping up the following: : Beans : radishes : peppers : and a few others...but my mind is going blank.LOL : I believe the hand chopper is around $10.00 to 15.00 and is worth it. : HD
