When I got my fist ig she used to get into everything behind the fridge grills in the heat register in the springs of the bed. Each time after she was taken out she would be a stressed out and would be hard to handle the best way to handle her was to give her, her space and make sure there was nothing that would frighten her. At four months most igs are going to be flighty if you are patient and respect there space they will usually calm down. Also if the ig is running around about the aquarium there might be something else that is in his sight-line that is causing him to be stressed or something is not quite right in the enclosure.
