I understand totally! Bless you, your family and Sammy. Now roll up yer sleeves cuz ya got your work cut out for you! ;-) Sammy's gonna need real good hydration (spray his food with warm water, daily warm baths)because the antibiotics are tough on his kidneys. Depending what the vet told you...good times to put the cream on is late evening when he's starting to snooze, and early am (igs are less likely to rub off the cream then). His diet, set up and need for calcium, vitamin supplementation needs to be paid particular attention to... to get him on the road to recovery (systemic bacterial infection) Did the vet perscribe an antiparasitic med? Panacur or? May need to replace microflora of hindgut with some nonfat yogurt w/ live cultures on a limited basis down the road. Much luck to you on any dealing with the jerks that sold him to you. I'll keep little Sammy in my thoughts and prayers! Keep us posted, we'll help any way we can!
