Thanks Gina,

When I looked at the "cages by design" another one of my concerns was that the back was wood, My iguana loves to look out the window (I have plexiglass on the back of her cage so she does not get drafts, but if I got a solid back she would be soooo mad at me.

: Yeah Ive checked out Cage by Design....for $20 they will send you plans for any cage you might conjure up to build yerself if you are a Bob Villa type or know someone who is... this would be fantastic. I sent for their brochures (somewhere around here) I wasn't very impressed with their prices on the larger iguana cages/kits given the materials they use. The hardware was flimsy (imho) and they didn't offer front loading access to the cages but if I remember right there is a small back door....now how many people want to move their cages everyday to get behind it and clean out the cage, feed em or get their ig? naaaahhhooott me! I don't know I just didn't like em. But send for their brochures and make your decision. I bought 2 very nice custom made *used* ig enclosures for less than $100.oo each. One I gave the person $100 for it was so nice. They were giving it away free! It took months of searching and traveling all over the L.A. basin to find the two I settled on...but well worth it.
: I have humidifiers in both enclosures. Have em running about 3 hours a day. Only run them when Im home too to make sure igs don't climb on them. When I first put em in they just had to check em out (weren't on) licking them, trying to get on them...now they could care less about em nonetheless they're supervised when on. Yes they absorb moisture thru their scales. Have you been to Glenn Merrills Iguana Cage Site (link below)....maybe something there that catches your eye too!
: Gina
