Mexican iguanas lean more towards the following:
Browner in color, Longer spikes, horns on nose.
Central iguanas lean more towards the following:
Even green tone (color), smaller spikes, oblong heads.
South American iguanas lean more towards the following:
Green with blue hues, smaller spikes, and rounder heads.
I will try to get examples of each type and post some picture over the weekend. Also remember that there can be overlaps of sub-species...meaning as: Mexican/central american iguana and a Central/south american iguana. A mexican/central might have brown tones mixed with some green or blotches of brown with a base of green on the bodies. But for a base sub-species of green iguana....the first listings are what I believe to be set standards for regional types.
If you have problems viewing the map please let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Hope this helps
