I'll be cross-posting this but I'm trying to catch folks where I can ;o)

My reptile/dog sitter friend/neighbor has a PB system. She went to the PB website and downloaded to disk a program that was to ck her system for Y2K compliance. She ran the program and when it finished it said that her system was compliant. Then it went to a BLUE screen and her comp died. Reboot only got back to a blue screen. Enter my husband aka genius programmer.....after doing everything he knew to do to get her system back and failing, he saved files for her on to floppy and then had to insert the Master CD. Apparently this PB program killed files and crashed her harddrive. It's up and running fine but this mishap took 4 hours to fix. BTW for inquiring minds, it was NOT caused by a virus as that was the first thing that was checked.

This is just a warning for anyone with a PB. If I were you, I'd just wait and see what happens on Y2K...it can't be as bad as this!! *smile*
