IF I hear the word "cool" I tell them every reason NOT to get one!! Because I relate "cool" to someone looking for something cool on the spur of the moment to show off to their friends. One of the leading problems with new iglet owners and most of them being young owners. Who, in time will grow tired of taking care of the iguana, and the fad will have worn off.
For a normally focused person asking questions, I give both the pros and cons of owning an iguana. And let them know that if they decide to get one, that I could arrange for them to keep a foster one for awhile to see what it's look to own one.
