Iguanas and christmas trees

My 1 year old male climbed out of his terrarium one day and gazed across the room with awe and desire at our newly erected (fake) christmas tree. The first thing he did was run over as fast as he could and leap into the tree. He seemed to be so content I didn't have the heart to pull him off of it. About a half hour later he was perched vertically on the upper tip of the tree. It almost seemed like he was reveling in the fact that he was higher than everyone in the room.

Whenever he goes out for his room walk-about he jumps in the tree (especially if it is lit up) and sits there while I give him his treats like rasberries or mango.

I am thinking of taking down the decorations and leaving the tree up year round just so he can get the satisfaction of climbing like that every day.
