THE SUN (London, UK) 13? December 99 Night on the rep-tile (Andrew Parker)
Lizard-loving Trevor Dyer spent half the night in his garden shed after being locked out of his house - by Noddy the pet iguana.
Worried Trevor, 36, dashed outside in his pyjamas when he noticed Noddy was missing from his glass case at 10pm.
But to his horror the back door slammed shut behind him - with the keys inside.
He crept down the street to a phone box to call a pal on a night shift who had a spare key.
But his friend could not deliver it until 2am - leaving Trevor to spend four hours in the cold shed.
And he felt even worse when he looked through his kitchen window - and saw Noddy safely back in his cage. The scaly escape artist had been hiding in a binbag.
Trevor, of Bearwood, West Midlands, said: "It was the most embarrassing four hours of my life.
"I dashed outside in a panic and my heart sank when I heard the door click shut behind me.
"I've recently had security locks put on the windows so I had no chance of getting in."
Jobless Trevor, who also has a python, two boa constrictors and a tarantula, said: "Noddy has no idea of the problems he caused me, but I can't help loving him."
