Tootsie...slowing down eating can be part of the winter cool down..mine are not eating nowhere near what they do spring or summer. The mating season behavior can also be causing this. Make sure you are protected (wristguards, gloves,
sweatshirts) and alert..like was mentioned throwing a large towel over him when moving him has always worked for me too.

Avoiding constipation problems:

DEHYDRATION: Prevent constipation with good hydration; soak his food in water before serving, spray his food with water before serving, spraying your ig with warm water and squirting a little in his mouth, warm baths or showers about 86 degrees...water is a cue for igs to poop, possibly water absorbed via cloaca;vent acting as a kind of enema,ig may want to drink bath water, Maintain humid enviroment...mist your ig frequently moisture absorbed thru the skin, have a humidifier going several hours a day, when taking your shower...have your ig in bathroom with you, the hotter it is the higher the humidity gets.
DIET: Iguanas require a high calcium, high fiber diet: Keep food cut small..not pulverized,a few large leafs are ok,may want to microwave it warm it up before serving speeds up transit time in gut, add hi fiber hi calcium , hi water content foods like reconstituted prunes pouring the juice over the salad before serving, chickory, loose leaf or butterhead lettuce, alfalfa hay, valencia oranges, watermelon.
EXCERCISE: let your iguana out to free roam a few hours a day, outside supervised or outside enclosure of some type, lots of climbing fun, if you have a low tree within enclosed yard let him climb it, ladders strategically placed can act as low trees.

These are just a few suggestions..AND IF ALL ELSE FAILS....call Rotor Rooter...j/k or like was also mentioned take him to a vet & have him Xrayed for impaction....but I'd try these things first..mainly the warm baths (must be warm or it will not work!) and adding hi fiber foods like the reconstituted prunes should be enough to get things moving along.
Keep us posted!
Gina
