How much room we talking about here John? Enough for a tree?...try Palms, Yucca or Ficus benjaminia only thing with a Ficus..its got to stay put! can't move it around once its acclimated to an area. Enough room for a bush? go with hibiscus,or natal plum, can find some neat cactus (prickly pear) without stickers.. Potted plants?geraniums, narcissus, spider plant,
Schefflera,...Check out Melissa Kaplan's website on a multitude of non-toxic plants.
Only thing is....your ig may in fact destroy em not only pulling off the leaves and eating them but climbing on,over, around, and under it ;-) so I wouldn't want to invest in non-hardy type plants. Mostly only see artificial plants in ig enclosures for good reason! If you do go the route of live plants...make sure you don't add fertilzer on em and use sterile potting soil w/o
vermiculite (those little white puffy things)
When my igs were free roamers...they turned my umbrella trees into weeping willows!!
