CDC Tightens Guidelines Reptiles & Kids under 5

Was trying to get Wes to post an L.A. times article that came out Nov. 21 Sunday paper in the Health section titled A STERN WARNING AGAINST REPTILES FOR KIDS ...but got this updated CDC site from someone at rec. pet herps...thought it was interesting and may be of some benefit to you out there with kids under 5. The article itself was quite anti-iguana imo and talked about past CDC guidelines asking that reptiles NOT be kept in households with childern under 1. Now asking that reptiles NOT be kept AT ALL in households with childern under 5 and lists increased fatalities and illness in the past two years associated with increased households owning reptiles that carry salmonella as the reason for the tightening of guidelines. Thought it was a very interesting article ...trying to get the article posted still but here's the CDC's guidelines on it.
