Can't download the pic...but have a few questions anyway...How big is the lump? How old is the ig? Is he exposed to uvb either direct unfiltered sunlight several times a week for a few hours or artificial (uvb tube) daily? What's his typical diet consist of? What's the humidity % of your enclosure? Does your ig drink water,do you give him baths? Spray his food with water? These questions will clue us in on what type of lump it is. Lumps along the jaw (usually lower)can mean abcess or fibrous tissue swelling. Fibrous tissue swelling from onset MBD or kidney problems, abcess from bacterial infections, mouthrot, trauma like that. Either way needs to see a vet to determine which type of lump this is...the vet will lance it (perhaps with a needle or scapel) and take a look under the scales to see if there is any caseated pus (infection) or just blood (fibrous tissue swelling; MBD,kidney-related problems). If its fibrous tissue swelling the vet will need to do a blood panel to determine the exact cause of the swelling (hypocalcemia;MBD or kidney disease). If it turns out early onset MBD this lump will subside with time, corrective diet high calcium high fiber and possible calcium supplementation, in conjunction with heavy duty exposure to uvb either direct unfiltered or artificial.....it takes about 6 months to notice significant decrease in swelling with these corrective measures. If its an abcess your vet will more than likely perscribe an antibiotic which tastes like crap! and tuff on kidneys so good hydration is real important .......In other words: Take him to the vet as soon as you can ;-) and let us know how he's doin!
