: Did it develop quickly? Looks like an abscess. Reason may be a mouth injurie or even a broken jaw. From that view it may also indicate MBD (if it developed slowly).

I was hoping not to hear "MBD", but I can't believe that it developed slowly. One day it was just there. In any case he's going to the vet. Thanks Ingo.
