another update on iZ + ig-vets

Dr. M just called with the biopsy results ... not good ... kidneys show very advanced, chronic disease due to a prolonged low-grade bacterial infection ... i think if i'd had a real ig-vet 6 weeks ago, this may have been prevented ... don't mess around with what you think are minor symptoms ... get to a REAL IG VET ...

anyway ... Dr. M is very pleasantly amazed with iZ's progress so far ... says while the kidney disease is not reversible, it IS possible to slow it down ... if we can get the swelling in his kidneys + bladder reduced so he can pee + poop ok, he'll be ok ... for a while ...

i know Dr. M did NOT expect iZ to make it this far, let alone improve like he has ... but then, he didn't know iZ had a mom who'd soak him in the tub every 4 hours to empty his bladder and then fill his tummy with the prescribed sick-ig-diet ... i'm hoping iZ + i can surprise him even more, get iZ healthy, happy + plump + hang around for another 15 yrs ... "cautiously optimistic" is the operative phrase around here ...
