It sounds pretty bad, I sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble. Maybe because he is becoming older he feels like it is his time to have more domainence like if he was in the wild. If he was in the wild it might be the time for him to fight to be the alpha male of the group. This could be why he is going after you, he may want to fight to see who is the alpha male. Maybe you should get pading like a catcher or the kind they use to train dogs and have out with him so he can release some of his aggressions. Like you said before you may just need to build him a rubber room. I wish you guys the best of luck and I'll be sending positive thoughts your way.
