My Ig used to do that too, I have these cool mirror pedistals in my livingroom right at the door of the porch. When Ig would come in the door, she would lunge at the mirror, you could hear the impact from the next room.
well she grew out of it, now she just sits next to the mirror and admires herself, without the need for impact.
I suspect that yours will grow out of it eventually too.
