You might want to contact your vet anyway and describe what happened. There may be reason to give him special drops to help heal his eye. I can't speak from a reptile's perspective but I can from a human's :o) I had something in my eye and thought I had it out. A few days later the eye was still bothering me. Dr. said a "ulcer-like" thing had formed around the original injury and it took 2 rounds of antibiotics in to my eye to clear it.
