Also, since I gave you advice on the sav, the same is true for the ig. Although igs, will stay up high, most of the time. The problem with both lizards is that they will not stay in the warmest spot. If they get too cold, which is likely, you will have a wealth of problems including: kidney failure, pneumonia, etc. We have both savs and igs and they are not the easiest pets. Savs and igs stay in their own large ( 4ft x 6ft) micro climate enclosures unless it is an exceptionally warm day(80 to 100 degrees) and we keep an eye on them constantly. Even with assorted basking spots with UV lights, heat lamps, food and things, the lizards tend to go where ever they want, unlike our cats( but that's another story ). We are constantly, even with supervision, getting the lizards out of cold areas and putting them back where it is warm. We had a 3 year old ig that died of kidney failure due to temp extremes cus he liked the out of the way cold spots or would get stuck in a spot that got cold. Remember that lizards aren't that bright, and they live in the wild where the environment is only just perfect for them, unfortunately, your house and bedroom is not on that list.
