I was over on the beginner lizard forum where someone asked what would be a good lizard for an 8 year old.
I can't beleive that someone said an Iguana if you want something that you can handle but may get big. Of course I voiced my opinion, and I think others should too. Be diplomatic though :)
Good grief!!!!! AFAIC no 8 year old should have the sole reponsibility of looking after any lizard, let alone an Iguana.
On another happier note though, the last three people that I've talked to here in the city that mentioned getting a lizard for their kids, have all said no to Ig's, YEAH!! at least some people have heard they aren't the ideal pet.
