Actually it is a poem I got off a reptile rescue. I am sorry but I could not ask permission to use it because I don't remember where I got it. here it is:

A MESSAGE FROM YOUR IGUANA

Hey you, Stop, and take a good look at me.
I am your iggy, your friend, and all i should be.
Yes, I do realize I am scaly and green,
And sure, sometimes I even seem to be mean,
because, hey, i have feeling too.

You brought me home from that bad pet store.
Then you must have thrown all good sense out the door.
Because you nearly killed me with the wrong diet.
But i fought hard for my life, with all of my might,
because, hey, i have feelings too.

I once was happy, with a loving mate,
but now, through my grief, I wonder about their fate.
Are they settled, or are they being tossed around?
Or can I hope that they have found some place safe and sound,
because hey, I have feelings too.

Hey, look at this new iggy, that I don't like.
With such a perfect tail and all those perfect spikes.
I am saddened that his worth is now more than mine,
Don't you know that my body shows the harsh test of time?
Because hey, i have feelings too.

I was once so small, and had room to roam.
but now that I am big, i often hear you groan.
You hope I'll find a new home and be on my way.
I am so hurt, i just feel like running away,
because hey, i have feelings too.
Now i stop and take a good look at you.
I wonder if your feelings will ever be true.
Will this be the place where I will finally stay?
Or am I destined to just be a throw away?
Becuase, hey, I have feelings too.

Pretty good poem huh? It is not as sad as the dog one but it is sure true. Well, bye
