I have not been involved with the rescue of Green Iguanas at all until today (obviously). Sorry I offended. I did know that there was a massive interest out there in Iguana rescue, that's why I was so disappointed in the first responses of "dont even bother, they're all gonna die".

: Just how deep have you been involved with the rescue of Green Iguanas???? What lesson will Petco learn if they get their money back from these iglets??? Nothing...seen it and in another week or so, there will be replacements back in the store. You want to save them......help figure out a way to stop the import of iguanas into the US. I'd love to save them all......but realisticly there's NO WAY. Our rescue group has 5 now and four more waiting to come in, another rescue group in Richmond has 25 and more waiting to come in......every week we have at least 1 to 2 iguanas needing rescued. If I had a barn that was turned into a rescue building for iguanas, it would be filled in less than a year. And for everyone of them we bring in.......at least 5 more are sold as iglets in stores. We will probably see 2 to 3 of them come through one of our rescue groups. So negative people......please don't be calling anyone who is trying to help....negative, some of us just look at the BIG picture not a 24 hour window!! Does it sadden me that these poor iglets are dying in the pet store.......IT SURE DOES. But I know I can't save them all. I am working on some plans for organizing a group to fight for banning imports on iguanas. Stop the mass imports....we might be able to save the rest.
: HD <---feeling a couple levels short of the breeding topic!!!!!!!
