Gee there's sooo many brands that sound similar...
Reptical
RepCal
Reptocal....a Tetra product right? check the calcium/ phosphorus ratio ya need at least 2:1 calcium to phosphorus ratio...that's 2xs more calcium than phosphorus or as close to that as you can get it, otherwise you may need to add a phosphorus free calcium supplement. Also check the amount of Vitamin D3 it has in it (anything under 100 IUs is terrific as far as D3 goes)...then check the Vitamin A IUs..under 500IUs is pretty good. A is a fat soluble vitamin can be stored and lead to liver problems and according to Maders...contribute to anorexia, lethargy;depression, bone lesions.
I'd offer vitamin supplement to your juvie...prolly 4xs a week after he turns one taper it to 3xs a week max. Sprinkle it on his salad as you would salt your food. When you run out...get some of the other popular, better(?)multi-vitamin brands for reptiles...like Vionate, Vitalife, Repcal w/o D3, Miner-all (I believe its Indoor type..they make two now can't remember which is which...as long as it is without D3 it should be fine). Alot safer to use. When he gets older may not have a need to supplement whatsoever...given his diet is good. Essential babies & juvies are getting good supplementation...a calcium supplement & multi-vit. Reptocal...may have adequate vitamin, mineral content but then lack a good calcium content. I couldn't say. If you'd like re-post and list the ingredients...we'll give ya a run for your money ;-)
