But you said that the enclosure sits on the floor, right? While playing your stereo, go over and place your hand on the enclosure. Does it vibrate especially when deep bass tones pump thru the speakers? That's what will affect him. May feel like a mini-earthquake going on to him or the 5:15 express is going by :o)

If it's shaking the enclosure, you might try one of two things. Putting the enclosure up on blocks of wood (or something safe) OR putting your speakers up on blocks if they sit on the floor.

And keep in mind that this may not be what is causing him to not eat but it may be disturbing him nonetheless.
