Whether or not you use the sanitizer in conjunction with pets, this is an important note, so please read it. I have been using Suave Hand Sanitizer, by Helene Curtis of Chicago IL. Since I not only have herps but also a dog and fish and a small child, I was using it many times daily. Guess what!! My rings were damaged by the stuff. One ring alone was worth thousands, and then there are my wedding/engagement rings, which are priceless, all turned brown and oxydized from exposure to the chemicals in the sanitizer. These were VERY expensive pieces of jewelry, so it was not a case of cheap metal reacting. I am SO very upset, because before I ever bought the stuff I read the bottle. There is NO warning for either fine, or costume jewelry on the bottle. I'm livid, and it takes me a lot to get mad. If anyone else wants to write or call them please post and I can supply you with the street address of Helene Curtis, as well as the toll free phone number.

* p.s. I always wear rubber gloves when using cleansers, the sanitizer was the only chemical these rings were exposed to. The jeweler states he's seen this before, and it's a shame that they don't care enough to put a warning on the bottle.
