Roni's day

Well, today I had errands and so I took Roni with me. The sun was out and it was an unheard of hot day, almost 68!!! I put the heater on in the car anyway and got it up to temp so Roni would be comfy right away. She lay in the back window, back legs out basking, and seemed just fine with it. I went about my errands and she stayed right there. Maybe it was the sun AND the fact that she got to see all the sights?

Preparing for Roni's first nailclipping with me, I went and bought a pair of children's heavy work gloves(yes, I wear child's sized gloves)at Menards because I was told she does object to that.

Other than an aborted trip straight up my mini blinds, she was good today. She managed to avoid turning the lamp on with her tongue, but again she went straight for my son's room and the stuffed animals. Maybe she remembered the bunk beds from yesterday, or something.

I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, for her to start "testing" me. But so far so good. She's lost a few ounces though because she didn't eat right away when she got here, probably all the changes. Her tail and legs are still fat though, so I won't worry yet. She is eating, she's just not quite accustomed to us yet and isn't eating quite as much as I'd been told she was before(2 cups a day). I'm going to keep my eyes on her closely. The vet said she was probably the healthiest he's seen, and I want to keep her that way.
