Got home from the grocery store today to find Roni sitting in front of her cage door with both "hands" up on the door, peeking out, looking for all the world like a forgotten old jailbird. Hard times indeed, she'd been caged a total of 90 minutes. LOL Opened the cage and she jumped onto my arm like a little gremlin, and headed for my head. Did I mention she doesn't fit up there? Anyway. Today I allowed her to explore a little wider area, and she discovered that the back of the recliner is the perfect height to spy on the neighbors out the window. So she was pretty entertained for awhile, until she noticed I was eating something. Down she jumped, and came bustling over to inspect my lunch. She begs!(I did NOT feed her, I don't do that on principle). Also, she does, as advertised, use the toilet. I was pretty skeptical, but she proved herself today for the third time, much to my amazement. And through this whole thing - two days in a shipping box, totally new climate and people, she hasn't opened her mouth(other than to eat) or gotten flustered once. Well, she was a little surprised when she smelled the touch lamp with her tongue and it turned on. I was too! Guess I need to relocate that item.
